Fr. Richard Delahunty has been superior of the St. Joseph's Redemptorist Community for the past four years and is currently Administrator of St. Joseph's Parish. A native of Mooncoin, Co. Kilkenny, he was ordained in 1966 and has spent most of his priestly life as a missionary in North East Brazil

 

 

Fr. Brian McGrath is a native of Kilmallock, Co. Limerick. He was ordained in Bangalore, India, in 1956. His earliest years were spent teaching in Bangalore and on his return to Ireland was superior in Belfast and Limerick. He became Administrator of St. Joseph's Parish in 1984, followed by two years as Chaplain to the Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, then curate in St. Gerard's Parish, Belfast. He joined St. Joseph's Community again in 2008.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fr. Cathal Cumiskey was born in Mohill, Co. Leitrim. He was ordained in 1954 and taught at St. Clement's College, Limerick for 34 years after which he was appointed as curate of St. Joseph's Parish in 1990 and server this parish for 16 years.

Br Tony Rice is from Belfast; he made first profession as a Redemptorist in August 2004, and will be ordained priest in December 2009. 

His main ministries are as a Director of Vocations and as a member of the Parish Mission Team. 

He enjoys movies, music and crosswords.

Br. Dermot McDonagh is a native of Killaloe, Co. Clare. He was professed in 1967. Over the past 40 years Dermot has worked in various capacities in the different Redemptorist Houses in Ireland. He has been sacristan

 

 

Fr. Richard Tobin is a native of Rosslare, Co. Wexford; he grew up in Dublin and was ordained in 1960. He taught in the Philippines for six years and on his return to Ireland, has been stationed in Dublin, Limerick and Esker and is currently a member of the Dundalk Redemptorist Community.

 

 

 

 

Fr. Eamon Hoey is a native of Leinster Road, Dublin. He was ordained in 1963 and has spent most of his life in Ireland. Having served as Superior in Belfast, Dublin and Esker. He was Administrator of St. Joseph's Parish for 3 years and is currently one of the two curates.

 

 

 

 

 

Fr. Finbar Connolly was born in Blackrock, Co. Dublin. He was ordained in Bangalore, India where he taught in the Seminary for over 30 years. He was stationed in Dublin for 18 years and has been assigned to the Dundalk Community for the past 10 years.

 

 

Fr. Joe Naughton is one of the many Manchester United supporters in the Community. A native of Breaffy, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, he was ordained in 1955. He spent 12 years as a Missionary in the Philippines and was assigned to Mission Teams in Limerick for 12 years and has been in St. Joseph's, Dundalk for the past 13 years.

 

 

Fr. Louis Eustace is a native of Newtowncashel, Co. Longford. He was ordained in 1962 after which he spent eight years teaching in the Philippines, six years in a parish in Springfield, Mass., USA, 15 years in Mount St. Alphonsus, Limerick and has been in St. Joseph's, Dundalk since 1990.

 

 

 

 

 

Fr. Edward Rocks is a Dundalk native and was ordained in Galway in 1953. Following ordination, he spent forty one years in various Redemptorist Communities in the Philippines. He has been with us in Dundalk for the past five years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fr. Patsy Kelly was born in Walsh Island, Co. Offaly. He was ordained in Thurles in 1966 and worked as a missionary in Brazil for 23 years after which he worked for five years as a curate in Dublin Archdiocese.

 

 

Fr. Sean Bennett was born in Belfast and was ordained in 1952. He worked as a missionary in the Philippines for 12 years, in the West Indies for 2 years and in Springfield, Mass., USA for 12 years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fr. Willie McGettrick is the only Arsenal supporter in the community and ploughs a lonely furrow. He's a native of Dublin and was ordained in 1969. He spent most of his priestly life in Ireland, assigned to Mission Teams in Limerick, Dundalk and finally Clonard, Belfast. He has been curate in St. Joseph's Parish since 2004.
